This book was written by the husband and wife team of Michael J. Shamblott, Ph.D. and Deborah L. Howard, MS. Conquer Autism was written as a review of everything they learned trying to help their son who was diagnosed on the autism spectrum. Michael is a faculty member at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in the Department of Neurology and works at the Hugo W. Moser Research Institute at Kennedy Krieger. Deborah has a Masters Degree in Marine Science and like Michael, worked in various biochemistry, genetic and Molecular biology laboratories. She is currently a faculty member at the Harbour School of Baltimore where she teaches High School science to children with various learning disabilities including autism.
