Buy from AMAZON.COM. This book is an essential part of any ASD library. It carefully reviews much of the scientific research described in this eBook. It is written in a thorough and technical style, with lots of scientific results to back up points being made. It may be difficult reading for people without a background in biochemistry, but is well worth the effort. It should be part of every medical school curriculum and when you come across a medical professional who does not believe ASD has a biomedical cause you can give them a copy or just the title.

Toilet training is often difficult; it can be a real challenge for ASD kids and their parents. This book can help you understand the challenges that ASD kids face and gives you tools to overcome them.

It helps you to recognize ASD and to put yourself in your ASD kid's shoes. Once you begin to understand their challenges, you can help them learn to communicate and navigate the rules of society. You should read this one early on.

This book very clearly details why some ASD children will benefit from a reduced sugar diet and puts it in the context of the gluten and casein-free diet that many ASD children benefit from.
- The Gluten-free Kitchen. Ryberg, R. (2000) Prima Publishing. ISBN 0-7615-2272-7. Buy from AMAZON.COM. This is the best book we have found for those who want to prepare their own gluten-free meals. It has advice on which ingredients you need to set up a baker's pantry and many great recipes for breakfast, lunch and dinner. There are recipes for 32 different bread items (loafs, muffins, hush puppies, pizza crust, Focaccia, etc.), 21 types of cake, 20 cookie recipes, 16 different kinds of pies and many other baked items. All of the recipes we have tried are excellent.
- The Gluten-free Bible. Lowel, JP (2005) Henry Holt and Company. ISBN 978-0-8050-7746-9. Buy from AMAZON.COM. Although written with Celiac disease in mind, this comprehensive review of gluten-free products and top-notch recipes is an important part of the ASD GF diet library.
